Scouting inside a working Joburg prison with Bronwen and the Journey Team. While traveling alone in South Africa at the age of 18, Dan once checked himself into a prison close to Soweto because he didn’t have any place to stay. He was well aware that most people do not have the luxury of checking themselves out of such an accommodation. He slept under a thin blanket, but was kindly given a mug of tea and hunk of bread by the warden in the morning and sent on his way. Cold, damp and thoroughly Depressing.
