Inspired by the spirit of Nelson Mandela, Doris (the name of my ‘walking boot,’) and I relied on producer Kweku Mandela to help us negotiate the half hour hike to the first location, an idyllic gorge where our talented young cast was nervously awaiting their first take after we had to abort a scene starring Deziree, a perfect replica of Dan’s notoriously unreliable 1971 Land Rover. Turns out this one is equally tempestuous- she failed to budge, despite the efforts of our anxious crew. Still it was a fantastic day! This is a 3 minute clip, mostly of my backside which is unfortunate but the scenery is incredible.
