South African actress Mika Basson has the honor of playing Elinor Tatum in Journey. At the age of 18, Elly participated in the Student Transport Aid Safari that Dan led across Africa to deliver aid to a Refugee camp in Malawi. Actually, Elly (now owner of the Amsterdam News, feels lucky to be played by this extraordinary young woman who plans to crusade for the rights of women and girls in South Africa and beyond. These two strong, beautiful and intelligent women are eerily similar!
