Luis Macias

Luis Macias was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, June 1964, he study sculture since 1975 with Jose Pablo Macias Pinto, recognized sculptor of sacred art, he lives in a house full of sculptures, paints, music and books of all the time, his childhood it was full of magic, fairly tales, movies, circus and fantasy. Since 1980 to 1990 he worked with the painter Alejandro Colunga and Javier Arevalo. He decided to begin to paint for children, before living so close to his son and one day working in FIL (International Fair Book) of Guadalajara, it falls in his hands a Dan Eldon´s book, and he admires how Dan as a common thing gives turns it something so showy!.

He never takes a limit in his paints, he loves mix watercolor, oil, acrylic and other tecnics of XVIII Century, his paints are full of hearts, cups of coffe, and messages (what insist in change the “c” for the “K” and the “i” for “Y”) and don´t forget the elephant who is one of the main element since it considers unacceptable that majestic animal in some years disappear.

Still his head and his heart and his hands are full of fantasy, magic, fairly tales, books, music and colors……
