The Journey is the Inspiration: Chelsea Nicole

I was introduced to Dan Eldon’s book “The Journey is the Destination” in 2004 by my high school art teacher.  Dan’s imagery inspired me greatly, and his story was completely fascinating to me. As a young artist I imitated his work, fell in love with multi-media collage and had my room decorated with his posters. I fantasized about being a photojournalist so I took photography in my Freshman year in college, and most of my submissions are from then. I had the opportunity to travel to Nairobi in 2013, and I took it because of Dan’s story and a desire to see a place close to my favorite artists’ heart.  I also visited the Dan Eldon Place of Tomorrow.

I am now 26, and a recovering artist.  Dan was my first romance and I thank his family for sharing his life with the world.
